What we keep, and why.

gawd.ai is a lab site, not a product. The only personal data we collect is what you hand us when you request updates or contact the lab. There is no account, no advertising network, and no third-party analytics tracking you across the web.

What we collect

When you submit an update or contact form, we receive:

• Your email address. So we can send the update or reply you asked for.
• A source label. Which form you used, for example build or join, so we know which message reached you.
• An optional interest. Only if you pick one from the dropdown, for example researcher or builder.
• Campaign parameters. If you arrived with utm_* tags in the link, we read them from the URL to understand where you came from.
• A timestamp. When you signed up.

That is the whole list. We do not ask for your name, and the forms include a hidden anti-spam field that humans never see or fill.

Who processes it

Email signups are handled by Brevo, a third-party email platform, acting as our processor. Your address and the labels above are stored in a contact list there so we can send the occasional update, and a notification is emailed to the team so a human knows you signed up. Brevo processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy terms.

Your IP address

To stop abuse, the form endpoint briefly checks your IP address to rate-limit submissions. It is held in memory only, for about a minute, and is never written to a database or shared. It is not tied to your email.

Cookies and local storage

We set no advertising or tracking cookies. The only thing we store on your device is a single browser localStorage value, gawd-theme, which remembers whether you chose the dark or daylight view. It never leaves your machine and you can clear it any time.

Your choices

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and one click removes you. You can also ask us to delete everything we hold about you by writing to [email protected]. We will action it promptly, no questions asked.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions go to [email protected].
